For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, 12 instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds. Titus 2:11-14
Lord, I thank you today, for my salvation! Not all is perfect, but you have been so good to me. You saved me not just from circumstances, but from the power, penalty and presence of sin (Rom. 6). When I think about where I was and what you are now doing in my life, I am filled with thanks.
Day by day you renew and strengthen my soul in ways that I could have never expected. What had such a grip on me “then”, you are giving me strength to stand against today, and I thank you, Lord.
I thank you for that day when you made yourself known to me. I pray I will never forget what life was like before you saved me. And because I now know you for myself, I can look forward with great hope. Thank You Lord!
EYM, do you remember that day that Jesus made himself known to you? Take some time to reflect on what life was like without Jesus. Wherever you are emotionally in your life and marriage, pray a prayer of thanks for your strength through your personal salvation in Jesus Christ. It is not magic that we seek, nor quick fixes that we expect, but through God’s grace, the God that saved us will make a way. Be Blessed!
