One of the biggest and yet most under addressed concerns facing Christian couples today is how to bring together or gel a blended family. With divorce being more prevalent today than in past generations, it follows that 2nd marriages that include children from previous relationships, are also more prevalent today, than in the past. Of [...]
Let me start by saying that as an author that has written on and studied every marriage in the Bible, I don’t agree with the President’s view on same sex marriage. There are over 60 married couples in the Bible and they all share a common thread – one man & one woman. That’s 60+ [...]
You are mom by nature and dad by circumstance. Today we say a prayer for single Mother’s that fill in gaps left by a missing father – for whatever reason. Single mothers sacrifice, teach, train, sacrifice and love their children – for two.
A Single Mom’s Sacrifice, in Hope

For many men there can be a level of anxiety that always is present when it comes to leading our family. That anxiety typically revolves around either not having a father as a role model or not having a good role model to pattern themselves around. So how does a man lead what he has [...]
One of the first questions I like to ask couples is, “How is your relationship with Christ?”. It is a question that gets a wide range of responses, with the most frequent being something related to church attendance. But having a relationship with Christ goes well beyond just attending church on Sunday. God doesn’t promise His chosen ones that there won’t ever be storms in life. Instead, He promises us that he will always be right here with us when we face those storms. At the same time, God doesn’t ever tell us to sit around idly and wait for the Him to rescue us from the [...]
God made a promise to Abraham and his wife Sarah, that their descendants would be as numerous as the sands of the seashore and the stars in the sky. And the promise of God is made and carried out in spite of how we jump ahead of his plans for us. Because even though God [...]

Have you ever noticed the number of voices that “talk” to you during the course of a day? From radio dj’s, talk show hosts, news commentators, co-workers, your kids, our favorite song, friends, family… add it all up and there are a lot of people that have our ear on a daily basis. The volume [...]
The point is, feeling trapped, or simply being in a bad marriage is not a death sentence, nor is it quicksand. The Bible is full of men and women that came across the very things that today we label as feeling “trapped”. It was through their faith and relationship with God that they were able to thrive.
