Let me start by saying that as an author that has written on and studied every marriage in the Bible, I don’t agree with the President’s view on same sex marriage. There are over 60 married couples in the Bible and they all share a common thread – one man & one woman. That’s 60+ [...]
It is always so important to remind ourselves that Scripture is not a magic bullet. We still have to live out our lives, when we close the Bible, get in our cars and show up on our jobs and go through our day. But the more we can get the Word in us, the more we find strength to deal with life – differently – with peace.
The fact is that we DO feel the way we feel. It doesn’t matter if someone else doesn’t understand it, or if it makes someone else uncomfortable. We all have a right to feel the way we feel. We don’t have the right to take it out on those around us, but we have a right to feel and respectfully express it.
Our marriage’s are no more than God’s grace on display. We make it day by day. I – we could complain, and we sometimes do. But as you think about how God continues to grow & keep your marriage, be thankful for what you have!

It may be something that nobody wants to admit. But I think it is pretty realistic to say that at some point in most marriages, one or both spouses, think about leaving – if even just for a split second. Something happens, our nerves get frayed and then, Bam – it suddenly seems plausible to [...]
Mark 11:6-10 6 They spoke to them just as Jesus had told them, and they gave them permission. 7 They brought the colt to Jesus and put their coats on it; and He sat on it. 8 And many spread their coats in the road, and others spread leafy branches which they had cut from [...]
In my last article, I introduced the idea that your anger is actually more related to the result of the beliefs you attach to your spouse’s actions than the actions themselves. I know all too well that this concept is in direct opposition to what we are normally taught. After all, how many times [...]
Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Early in my life I was [...]
