When we think on the facts of the cross and what Christ did for us through the events that we now call Easter, it becomes difficult to hold a grudge or fault against our spouse. The Bible is clear that God hates our sin while he continues to love the sinner (us). Without forgiving our sins on the cross we would not be able to have a relationship with God. In your marriage are there things that have created barriers to a full relationship with your spouse because of un-for-give-ness?
Have you ever had to wait on your spouse? I don’t just mean while they are in Ann Taylor or some other women’s store for way too long. But, I mean waiting on them to grow in the Lord. Through our walk with God we can wait patiently and joyously for our spouse to grow in the Lord, while they wait for us to do the same. And together as a couple the two of you can both wait patiently and joyously on the Lord to change and strengthen your marriage.
